For a good cause
The privately-run Bachmann Hotels' dedication to children's causes forms an important component of its corporate philosophy. Since our headquarters are located in Thuringia's state capital, the region is particularly important to us. That is why we want to do our part and give back to the community.
We dedicate our efforts to the most vulnerable members of our society – children and teenagers are our future, which is why they deserve our utmost attention and support. We feel strongly about the development of the individual projects and what can be achieved with our support.
Summer Camp 2015
In 2015, we donated €500 to the Summer Camp 2015, run by the group "Die Bunten Schafe", because creating family-friendly environments is particularly important to us. At the Bachmann Hotel am Kaisersaal in Erfurt's city centre, we have noticed that families who want to enjoy a relaxed holiday together are staying longer than in the past. For this hotel, we put a lot of effort into obtaining the "Family-friendly" distinction from Thuringia's tourism association, which we succeeded in.
Let's hit the dance floor!
The dancers from Karneval Club Braugold e.V. held their first training camp at Hotel Rennsteig Masserberg in the Thuringian Forest. During their intensive training weekend, the young dancers enjoyed a packed physical programme from morning to evening. Their schedule included general coordination, stretching, and strength exercises as well as specific dance training. But despite their busy training agenda, they didn't have to do without relaxation and fun. We look forward to their next visit!
Joining forces to help terminally ill children
The team at H+ Hotel Erfurt has been supporting the operations of the "Children's and Youth Hospice of Central Germany" in Tambach-Dietharz for several years. "Of course, we want to uphold this valuable tradition and aim to expand our efforts in the future", says the hotel director. The team at H+ Hotel Erfurt therefore took the opportunity to collect donations for this project close to their hearts at last year's New Year's Eve event. Thanks to numerous generous guests, the hotel managed to collect €800 in donations on this evening. "The hotel's managers, the Bachmann Hotel Group, commended the charity campaign organised by its employees and were happy to add another €200 to their donations", the hotel director is happy to report. Especially in these fast-paced times, we should turn our attention to our fellow human beings
"The children's hospice has become an institution that the entire hotel team and many of our guests truly care about", says the hotel director. But H+ Hotel's commitment to social causes is not its only excellent feature. Travellers honoured the hotel with the Holiday Check Award in 2015, making it one of the 10 most popular hotels in the state.
Saving lives together
On Monday, 12 March 2018, the Institute for Transfusion Medicine Suhl organised an event for donating blood and stem cells at H+ Hotel Erfurt. Starting at 4:30 p.m., numerous donors came by and made an important contribution for their fellow human beings by giving blood. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many life savers and look forward to the next blood drive.
